Power button
dynabook N40 power button is located in the top left corner. For some reason, it requires a 'long press' even when turning the power on. I can understand long-pressing the button to force-quit, but I still don't understand the meaning of long-pressing the button even to turn on the power (:-). Moreover, perhaps because of long time use, it often did not turn on even after more than 10 seconds. At the time, I really wanted to throw it away as it was, but I finally found a way to manage it.
After all, I could guess that the contact between the button and the base was faulty, so I found that if I pressed the button while clipping the LCD panel under the button a little harder with my finger, as shown in the photo, it would be fine. (Naturally, the strength should be at a level that does not break the LCD). It is likely that even this method will eventually fail, but for the time being, so far so good!
